Abhik is currently working at Western Digital (SanDisk), Bangalore as Principal Operations Research Scientist. Abhik is an alumnus of BITS, Pilani and has been working in the field of Operations Research for 13+ years.

Abhik has worked on optimization projects of varied flavors such as multi-echelon inventory optimization, vehicle routing, network optimization, revenue management, product mix optimization. In his current role, Abhik leads his team to build first-of-a-kind solution for insights into optimizing several aspects of production planning, manpower scheduling, inventory optimization, lead time linearization etc. Prior to this, Abhik has worked with Bayer, Intel, FICO where his solutions besides improving the organization’s profitability, also achieved greater sustainability goals such as reducing carbon footprint, minimizing scrap volume, maximizing agricultural produce to reduce world hunger. Abhik has worked across multiple industries – supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, media, FMCG, telecom, pharma where his innovative solutions have reaped millions of dollars of benefit.

Abhik has also made significant contributions to bolstering the field of Operations Research in academia. Abhik has delivered guest lectures in several premier institutes and conducted Faculty Development Programs.
