As traffic to your store increases your conversion rate is likely to decrease.
Here are 5 tips to help you increase your e-commerce online store.

1. Quality of traffic
- Be sure to use highly targeted audiences
- Use Lookalike Audiences on Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
- Bid on the most relevant keywords - (Google Adwords)
- Relevant influencers
- Strategic/Relevant SEO

2. Navigation and the User Experience
- Make sure your potential customer can find what they're looking for.
- A clear message on your home page as to what your brand is and what you sell
- Take a step back and try to look at your website as a customer who doesn't know anything about your company or your products, It's easy to get tunnel vision because you're so familiar with your site and where every little thing is and how to navigate things, etc. make sure it's clear how to find particular items on our page,
- Have a search function.

3. Pictures and videos
customers can't actually pick up your product and touch it and feel it the same way they can in a retail store. so your pictures need to really show and tell everything about what you're selling. If you can create a good video telling these customers about your product that's a bonus too.

4. Objection busters
Things that will help build trust with your customer, eliminate reasons for them not to buy whatever you’re selling.
- Reviews
- Shipping information
- Shipping costs. (#1 reason people abandon carts) offer free shipping if it's a viable economic option for you.
- Obvious Contact Information

5. Re-marketing
The lowest hanging fruit to increasing that conversion rate is by re-marketing
It can take 7 - 15 impressions of your brand or product before someone is willing to complete a purchase on your store.

- Re-marketing on social platforms - These are people that have recently been on your website and are already familiar with your brand/product.
If you retarget the group of people who've been to your website and took steps that showed high intent to purchase, but didn't actually purchase. You have tons of opportunity to convert these customers.

- Abandoned cart emails, text msgs, google ads, etc...

The mathematical equation to calculate conversion rate is Purchases/Sessions = Conversion Rate
example: 2 purchase / 100 sessions = .02 or 2%

Bonus Tip.
Repeat customer purchases..
If you can get your current customers to come back to your store and make additional purchases or if you’re lucky enough to be able to implement a subscription model this will dramatically improve your conversion rate.
