Today, we'll give you 5 fast recommendations for this unique 2020 E-Commerce Holiday Season. E-Commerce has seen huge growth this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But what will it mean for this holiday season? Unfortunately, we don't have a crystal ball, but we believe it will likely hinge on virus levels and the economy's health. There is potential for huge growth this year.
Our Five Recommendations:
1. Bing
Most of our new clients aren't using Microsoft Advertising even though it often converts better than Google.
2. Beware of Discounting
It's tempting to offer promotions during these uncertain times, but discounting can do more harm than good. Instead offer promotions like Buy One Get One that don't hurt your pricing model.
3. Free Shipping
Everyone expects free shipping thanks to Amazon. Even if it's the slowest delivery option, offer free shipping!
4. Be Aggressive
This year holds huge opportunity. Start gathering your data in October so you can use that data you've learned about your customer to be aggressive in November and December.
5. Build in Flexibility
Even with the best laid plans in digital marketing, things may need to be adjusted when you see the data. Don't be so rigid that you only stick to a certain budget or expect a certain return. If big players like Amazon and Walmart don't use SEM again, there will be opportunity with low cost-per-clicks and higher search volume, so take advantage of that!
Hopefully these tips have helped you out! We wish you all successful holiday season that will hopefully bring us to better things in 2021.
