What is BA (Bachelor of Arts)?
Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a 3 years undergraduate degree course that focuses on various disciplines like English, History, Political Science, Geography etc. Candidates can pursue a BA general or BA Hons program as per choice and also on the marks obtained at their +2 board exams. BA general program focuses on an overview of primary subjects whereas BA Hons program focuses on a particular specialization.

B.Com or Bachelor of Commerce course is a three-year UG degree course recognised by the Universities Grants Commission (UGC). Along with the full-time delivery mode, one can also pursue Distance BCom or Online BCom courses. BCom courses are one of the most popular courses amongst the Class 12 graduates with the Commerce stream. As per the AISHE reports, with nearly 9.33 lakh enrolment, BCom has been the third most desired course in India after Class 12.

The eligibility criteria to pursue a BA course is securing a minimum of 50% marks in class 10 and class 12 exams. BA admission is based on both entrance and merit.
